URI Rams

The University of Rhode Island Department of Athletics offers 18

intercollegiate sports which compete at the NCAA Division I level.

URI sponsors eight men's sports programs and 10 women's sports programs, competing in the Atlantic 10 Conference in all sports, with the exception of football, which plays in the CAA Football league.

The Ryan Center is the home of the URI men’s and women’s basketball teams and is considered one to the best basketball facilities in the Northeast.

With a capacity of 7,657 seats, the men's basketball team has enjoyed great success in front of sellout crowds at The Ryan Center. Since its opening in 2002, URI's men's basketball team has won 10 or more games six times and has compiled a 72-36 record (.667) in the "Home of the Rams."

In addition, The Ryan Center also houses the adjoining West Stands at Meade Stadium - home of the URI football program. During games, all ticket holders can enjoy the concession stands and other amenities safe from the elements.
